About ASB Management Services Background Coventry and Warwickshire Management Services (CWMS) was developed and managed by Andrew Simmons. Based in a West Midlands NHS Trust from 1987, CWMS provided management support within the NHS nationally and locally on a demand basis. The service employed specialist skills and management service tools used in manufacturing and private sector service industries. Working with clinicians and health service managers CWMS impacted on many clinical and management issues. In 1999 CWMS transferred into the private sector and became ASB Management Services Ltd. The new service retained its links with the NHS by continuing to work for its previous CWMS clients and by supporting the activities of the National Performance Advisory Group. Professional links continue to be maintained through the Institute of Management Services (IMS) and links with the private sector have being expanded to meet the needs of a wider client base and to get ASB actively and directly involved in the day to day running of businesses. In 2001 the service relocated to its
new base in the North East. Foundation Practitioners employed by ASB Management Services are members of appropriate professional bodies and will have extensive experience in appropriate manufacturing and/or public service sectors in which they are assigned. In addition, all project leaders will be experienced quality management specialists. We support the use of audited quality systems such as ISO 9000 but are comfortable with stand alone quality systems. ASB Management Services
practitioners are experienced and content to run projects on their own but are
equally comfortable in multi-discipline project environments using their skills
